A sense of deflated hope

Large anti-regime protests have wracked Yemen since early last year. Despite securing the official resignation of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the Gulf Cooperation Council power transition deal appears to have affected little else, whether among the political elite or the protestors on the ground. As such, a sense of deflated hope is pervasive.
