iPads replace textbooks in Egypt

On Monday, the Egyptian Minister of Education, Dr. Ibrahim Ghoneim, announced the launch of a project that aims to introduce iPads in three selected schools, reports news portal youm7.com.

The project goes under the name “A week without a schoolbag” and launches during the second semester of this academic year. Students will use iPads instead of traditional textbooks and are asked to submit proposals on the Ministry of Education’s website in order to develop the textbook.
