Two detained after attack on Iran’s Ankara embassy

Turkish police detained two people of Iranian descent after an attack on the Iranian embassy in the capital Ankara Friday, Anatolia news agency said.

The two are accused of throwing three Molotov cocktails into the garden of the embassy located in downtown Ankara, said Anatolia.

The fire was put out by embassy officials and there were no reports of injuries.

The suspects are said to have carried out the attack because of slow processing of their visa applications by the embassy, said Anatolia.
