Turkish PM accepts Israeli flotilla apology

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accepted an apology from his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu for the deaths of nine Turks during a 2010 raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla, his office said Friday.

“The two prime ministers agreed on making arrangements for compensation” to the victims’ families, a statement said, adding that Erdogan had accepted the apology “in the name of the Turkish people”.
